F1 Cavapoo
F1 is a symbol given to the first generation offspring that result from mating a cavalier king charles spaniel to either a toy or miniature poodle.
F1 cavapoo. An f1 cavapoo is one of the most common generations that are sold amongst dog breeders. However f1 cavapoo genes arent that terrific. Frequent and regular grooming is essential. F2 is allocated to a puppy when two f1 adult dogs are mated together.
Although f1 cockapoos are a first generation cross you will still get a variety of looks and coat combinations depending on which parent the pups take after. We specialize in breeding f1 cavapoos that are raised in our home. F1b cavapoos are a cavapoo bred back to one of their parent breeds. This is the result of a pairing between a pedigree cocker spaniel and a pedigree poodle.
F1 cavapoos are from a breeding of a cavalier king charles spaniel and a poodle. So both parents are cavapoos. Temperament will vary but typically if well socialised as puppies the cavapoo will be a good natured pet. Each puppy is registered with the national kennel club.
This is because the genetics of an f1 cavapoo can vary extensively which will affect how they look. Both parents are purebreds. They can have straight coats that will shed or wavy coats that dont shed hair. First generation f1 cavapoos are the resulting of crossing a purebred cavalier king charles spaniel with a purebred mini poodle or toy poodle.
These f1 cavapoos are 50 cavalier and 50 poodle. For example when a first generation cockapoo or f1 cockapoo does not have a coat that sheds less as is usually desired then they could be bred back with a poodle to strengthen and enhance this particular trait in that particular dogs puppies. Our f1b cavapoos are a cavapoo bred to a poodle.
