F1 Cavapoo

F1 is a symbol given to the first generation offspring that result from mating a cavalier king charles spaniel to either a toy or miniature poodle.

This is because the genetics of an f1 cavapoo can vary extensively which will affect how they look. Both parents are purebreds. They can have straight coats that will shed or wavy coats that dont shed hair. First generation f1 cavapoos are the resulting of crossing a purebred cavalier king charles spaniel with a purebred mini poodle or toy poodle.

These f1 cavapoos are 50 cavalier and 50 poodle. For example when a first generation cockapoo or f1 cockapoo does not have a coat that sheds less as is usually desired then they could be bred back with a poodle to strengthen and enhance this particular trait in that particular dogs puppies.
